Roca was born Oct. 28, 1966, in the Bronx, to Jerry and Jean Paladino. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Yonkers, and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Master of Fine Arts, and Master of Art Education from the College of New Rochelle.
