Let's see...1.7 million dollars. 20% down would be $340K. Balance of $1.36 million, at current rate of 6.9% for 30 years is $8,942 per month, excluding mortgage insurance, maintainance fees, and pro-rata share of taxes. You'll easily pay over $10K per month, all said and done. Somehow, I think if I had that kind of money, I doubt I'd be living in an APARTMENT BUILDING, across the street from a shopping mall...in New Rochelle, no less. But that's just me.

Good thing they have Manhattanites to sell to. Not many of the people I grew up with in New Rochelle can afford 1.7 million dollars for a unit!

I believe it is a good sign the people of Westchester have finally begun to realize they should be appreciative of progress in their community. In the past years they have allowed their communities to deteriorate. A building of this quality can only be an added benefit to the city and the citizens who reside there. In the past it seems everyone in Westchester was stagnated and stuck in another Century and were refusing developments and businesses which would be an asset to them. As a past resident of Westchester whose family lived there for three generations, I was constantly frustrated by the lack of forward thinking of the different communities for this type of progress. Westchester has always been a wonderful place to live and the continuous improvements are contributing to it becoming even more desirable.
