New Rochelle High School Economics teacher Darren Gurney is one of three New York teachers who will receive a 2014 Alfred P. Sloan Foundation Teaching Champion Award from the Council for Economic Education , at a ceremony held in New York City's Pierre Hotel. The award is given to outstanding educators who successfully integrate economics and financial literacy education into everyday learning in classrooms.
