The latest battle over the deteriorating armory concerns a flap over a flag. A group of veterans in the city, already angry that the City Council rejected their plans to convert the building into a performing arts center, now plan to protest the removal of a yellow Gadsden Flag, a Revolutionary War-era flag that is now used by the Tea Party.
