The New Rochelle teachers union , in concert with New York State United Teachers , the state teacher's union, has organized a grassroots effort to raises awareness among parents of children in grades 3-8 of their right to opt-out of the New York State assessments scheduled for next week, according to an email sent by FUSE President Martin Daly to union members yesterday.
