Hundreds of people gathered at Glen Island Park on Saturday, Nov. 15 to support the Special Olympics, and more than 500 of those people were brave enough to take the plunge into the cold but, luckily, warmer than usual water of the Long Island Sound. The occasion was the 6th annual Westchester County Polar Plunge and the 2nd year that it has been held in New Rochelle.
