Reading for pleasure is alive and well, as demonstrated by the extraordinary participation in the 2014 summer programs at the New Rochelle Public Library's main building and its Huguenot Children's Library branch. With the theme of "Fizz, Boom, Read! Science is Magic," the two libraries offered over 278 programs in a six week period, with record-breaking culminating parties during the seventh week, on August 19th and 20th.
