Forecasters with the National Weather Service in New York have issued a "winter weather advisory" for snow, sleet and freezing rain in the Lower Hudson Valley beginning at midnight tonight and lasting until 6 p.m. on Saturday. Snow accumulations in the region are expected to reach 3 to 5 inches "with up to a tenth of an inch of ice."
