Black History Month Exhibition Seeks Work From New Rochelle Students

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. The Westchester Alliance of Black School Educators is accepting art work from New Rochelle Schools to feature in the 2015 Black History Spoken Word and Art Exhibit celebrating the life of Maya Angelou. The exhibit aims to explore the themes of freedom and empowerment while highlighting historic periods such as segregation, the Harlem Renaissance and the civil rights movement.
