Lea Lucy Ferstenberg Obituary, Holocaust survivor was active at Beth El

A long time resident of New Rochelle since 1957, after living in Poland, Switzerland and Israel post WWII, Mrs. Ferstenberg spent some years working as a nursery school teacher at Beth El Synagogue and was extremely active in a number of charitable organizations, including Women's American Organization for Rehabilitation Through Training , of which she was a past President of the Shore Chapter and Woman of the Year in 1977. She was active in the Sisterhood, Hadassah, Book Club and Yiddish Club at Beth El and was an avid synagogue member.
