Following a raid by New Rochelle police at 384 North Avenue in December, Abbas Alsaidi was served with a notice of eviction by the City Marshall several times. Due to his failure to reply AlSaidi was evicted and his belongings removed from the store and an illegal apartment in the basement in January.
