The city of New Rochelle's Housing Choice Program, also known as the Section 8 Rental Assistance Program, will open its waiting list at 9 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 26. New Rochelle individuals and families who, at the time of application, live in New Rochelle will be given priority. Preference also may be given to people age 62 and over; people with disabilities; and families whose household income is at or below 30 percent of New Rochelle's median income of $67,000 a year.
